This notice describes the Centralized Clinical Placement System (CCPS) website's privacy policy.The website is owned and operated by the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to support and enhance the missions of the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges (CCC), the Chancellor's Office of the CCC, and the colleges, districts, and foundations of the CCC system.

By visiting the CCPS website, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

What information does CCPS gather?

The CCPS website is an internet tool designed to ease California's nursing shortage by making it easier for nursing schools and hospitals to match nursing school students to suitable clinical placements. In order to achieve its purpose, the CCPS website collects the following information:

Information Provided By Users:

The CCPS website receives and stores information entered onto the website.FCCC uses this information to establish schedule availabilities and to match students to clinical placements that are suitable and desirable both to the students and to the hospitals.

FCCC may also use the information gathered on this website to generate reports that locate and identify underutilized clinical placement opportunities.  FCCC may share these reports with registered users, primarily hospitals, nursing schools, nursing agencies, and other organizations involved in improving nursing services in California.

Automatic Information:

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that are transferred to the user's computer hard drive through its web browser. The CCPS website uses "cookies" to store client data in order to permit users to move efficiently through the site, without having to re-enter data.

How can users review and make changes to the data that they have entered?

Users may review and alter their data by updating their User Profile. From the homepage, click on "User," then click on "Update User Profile."  Other data may be changed under the School and Clinical Agency menus, as appropriate, based on the user's assigned security role and location.

How will the CCPS website notify users to changes in the website's privacy policy?

The Privacy Notice above applies only to the information gathered under the CCPS program. Users will be notified of any changes made to this Privacy Notice. If a change is made, an announcement will be made under the "What's New" section of the CCPS home page. Here a complete explanation will be given of any changes in policy and give a link to any new policies that are implemented.

In the future, FCCC may add new services to this website that may require users to provide different or additional information. The information gathered to provide a new service may be subject to a different privacy notice, which shall appear on the website when the new service is launched.
